Biografía:
Los The Connells provienen de Carolina del Norte (USA) y tienen un estilo mas introspectivo y melódico.
Formados por los gemelos Connells, inspiraron sus primeras letras en los temas de los Beatles y Byrds, para después beber de The Smiths, del rock progresivo de Jethro Tull e imitar hasta un punto inconveniente el estilo de REM.
Sin embargo este pequeño defecto de carecer de un estilo definidamente propio, no impidió que sus composiciones estuvieran plagadas de tema de calidad.

Here's the Connell's "Slackjawed" off the Ring album. I've put the
chords in the position I play them, but fool around with them. In
some places, walk ups or downs have been left out - they're really
easy to do though, once you play through a couple of times. Also,
lyrics might be suspect to misinterpetations.
