Biografía:
Swans es una influyente banda estadounidense de rock experimental, folk y post-industrial activa desde 1982, dirigida por el vocalista, compositor y multi-instrumentalista Michael Gira. Siendo uno de los primeros grupos emergentes de la escena neoyorquina de los ochenta, tuvo un constante cambio de músicos. Además de Gira, los otros semi-constantes miembros fueron la teclista y vocalista Jarboe y el guitarrista Norman Westberg. Desde 1982 a 1985 Swans se conformó por Gira como vocalista y bajista
