Biografía:
Skip James (1902-1969) fue un bluesman muy original, por su manera de tocar la guitarra y por su manera de cantar, con su voz inconfundible.
Empezó a grabar en la segunda mitad de los años 20, la canción por la que pasará a la historia del blues y por la que es más conocido es el clásico "Devil got my woman".
Con la llegada de la gran depresión, James dejó la música para volver a ella a comienzos de los 60 con el resurgimiento del blues y el folk.
