Rheostatics are a Canadian indie rock band. Although they had only one Top 40 hit (Claire in 1995), they were simultaneously one of Canada's most influential and most unconventional rock bands in the 1990s, a band whose defiantly quirky, yet compelling, take on pop and rock music has been described both as iconic and iconoclastic.
They played their farewell concert to a sold-out house at Toronto's Massey Hall on March 30, 2007. Sound board recordings of that and many other shows are available (with permission) at http://rheostaticslive.

LYING'S WRONG By Tim Vesely and Martin Tielli On the album "Melville" Transcribed by: Aaron Albert ([email protected])
A Oh well, I could not believe DA The misfortune that beset me DAE When you came to my door and said "No more." AE No more fun, no more believing. DA No more comrade in this war. DAE I knew you'd become sick of me anyway.
DAEA Because I never change... I am always the same, DAE Because I don't believe in things I can't see. DAEA Because I never change... I am always the same, DAE Because I don't believe in things that are not true.
Well, it's back to the creek With these things and their reflections, And there is nothing here that says it's not here. No more words, no contradiction. No more hypacrylic dreams. I NEVER DID BELIEVE IN ROCK AND ROLL ANYWAY.
Because I never change... I am always the same, Because I don't believe in things I can't see. Because I never change... I am always the same, Because I don't believe in things that are not true.
GDA And mother said, "Lying's wrong."
AE And if your right hand makes you stumble... DA Pluck it off and throw it from you, AEDA For it's better to have lost one. AE If your right eye makes you blink, DA Pluck it out and throw it in the kitchen sink, AEA For it's better to have lost... one.
