Phosphorescent es la banda (unipersona) de Mathew Houck [procedente de USA], de sonido predominantemente folk acústico (con suaves guitarras y sedosas percusiones, sumadas a voces rasgadas) pero que lleva consigo un peculiar sello distintivo: los abundantes coros.
Una descripción menos académica diría que este sonido-amor-fosforescente es una provocación sonora, la lírica está desnuda como la poesía, y el fondo está lleno de eco y reverberante
