Con una carrera en solitario de poco más de un lustro, Neal Casal se ha confirmado como uno de los más brillantes compositores de la escena country-rock actual, algo así como un Gram Parsons del siglo XXI que, sin embargo, no goza todavía de demasiada popularidad en nuestro país.
Casal pertenece a ese grupo de artistas (junto a gente como Freedy Johnston, Peter Case, Michael Penn, Ron Sexsmith,...) que parecen destinados a vivir en el anonimato
