Biografía:
My Dying Bride se creó en junio de 1990, cuando el guitarrista Andrew Craighan dejó su banda anterior "Abiosis" para reunir a Aaron Stainthorpe (voz), Calvin Robertshaw (guitarra) y Rick Miah (bateria). Adrian Jackson (bajo) se uniría más tarde.
El nombre del grupo es un claro reflejo de la estética del mismo. El año de su formación, la banda tuvo que elegir nombre. Los integrantes dudaron entre My Dying Child o My Dying Bride. Finalmente optaron por My Dying Bride
