Biografía:
Mutual Benefit fue creado en un principio por Jordan Lee como un proyecto musical durante su estancia en Austin, Texas. Lee después se mudo a Boston con la intención de reunirse con algunos músicos con quienes queria tocar. La banda consistía de un fluido numero de músicos y la alineación de la banda en gira era definida por aquellos miembros que estuvieran disponibles en el momento. Mientras estaban en gira a finales del 2011, Lee comenzó la grabación para el álbum Love's Crushing Diamond.
