Biografía:
O folk gótico da cantora/compositora Mirel Wagner recorda uma rica tradição de um punhado de letristas como Billie Holiday, Leonard Cohen e Hope Sandoval, enquanto faz um som unicamente dela. Nascida na Etiópia e criada em Espoo, Finlândia, Mirel primeiro assumiu a música aos 7 anos, aprendendo a tocar violino; aos 13 ela trocou pelo violão e três anos depois começou a escrever canções. "To the Bone", a faixa de abertura do seu álbum de estreia, representa um dos seus trabalhos anteriores.
