Biografía:
Formado en 1979 en Minneapolis, MN, el grupo de funk Lipps Inc. fue un proyecto del productor y multi-instrumentista Steven Greenberg. Tras lograr un contrato de grabación con la discográfica Casablanca, lanzó el sencillo “Rock It”, el cual fue un éxito local, y luego se dedicó a crear un álbum completo, contratando a la vocalista Cynthia Johnson. Ya que “Rock It” no tuvo el éxito esperado a nivel nacional, se lanzó otra canción del álbum “Funky Town”.
