Leon Russell (1941) es un reputado pianista, cantante y compositor norteamericano que siempre se ha movido en ese terreno donde confluyen el rock, el blues y el country.
Fue miembro del grupo Delaney and Bonnie and friends, que alcanzaron la fama cuando fueron apadrinados por Eric Clapton, para el que Russell escribió alguna canción, como "Blues power".
Su gran talento como músico de acompañamiento hizo que los grandes de principios de los 70 práctimante se lo rifaran para tenerlo en sus discos, giras y demás proyectos.
