That Natural Air

Valley Park, Mo
Banjo Tuned to E, Play key of D
Moderate Tempo
D G D
Get a little of that natural air
A
You can get it several ways
D G D
Open the window at top of the stairs
A D
So pleasing, especially on hot summer days
G D
I used to lay on the cool linoleum floor
A
No shirt, just bib over- alls
D G D
Peeking thru the old screen door
A D
The smell of sweet clover, best of all
G D
Or sit on the old bench of wood
A
Under the big white oak tree
D G D
Follow white fluffy clouds best I could
A D
Or watch the horizon as far as I could see
G D
Open the windows at bed- time
A
Breathe in that natural air
D G D
Outside natures life of its own
A D
I was young and growing, without a care
G D
I am old now, and slowed down quite a bit
A
But I still enjoy that quiet time
G D
And that country, westerly breeze
A D
I think of as Natural Air that is truly mine
