Curtis "Kurtis Blow" Walker (9 de agosto de 1959, Harlem, New York) es uno de los raperos pioneros en la industria de la grabación, y una de las primeras estrellas del mainstream. "The Breaks" (1980), es uno de los clásicos del hip-hop, con su pegadiza melodía de discoteca y su estilo de rapear. Blow fue influido por DJ Hollywood.
Comenzó su carrera en Nueva York a mediados de los 70s, empezando como breakdancer y DJ antes de ser rapero. En 1980 editó su primer álbum, llamado Kurtis Blow.
