The Jam fue un grupo de rock inglés de finales de los años 1970 y principios de los años 1980. Fue uno de los grupos más populares de aquella época. Llegaron a posicionar sus 18 sencillos en el Top 40 de las listas del Reino Unido, desde su debut discográfico en 1977 hasta su última canción en 1982.
Realizaron seis álbumes de estudio, y el último, The Gift, fue número uno en Inglaterra. Comenzaron su andadura por 1972 de forma amateur en Woking (Surrey), lugar de origen de los componentes del grupo.
