Secondhand Serenade es un proyecto solitario compuesto por John Vesely, de Menlo Park, California, quién canta y toca la guitarra y el piano. Su música se compone de multipistas que, juntas, componen el sonido de una banda. El Nombre de la banda, Secondhand, se refiere a que su esposa, Candice, oye todas las canciones "de primera mano". Siendo así, para los oyentes de su música es la Serenata de Segunda mano (Secondhand Serenade).
