Band: The Snake The Cross The Crown Song: On the Threshold of Eternity Album: Mander Salis Tabber: dustin the wind
BTW the *'s and ^'s are sidenotes not chord alterations, refer to the bottom.
There's no guitar here, but it's the same as the rest of the verse.
Eternity is pressed agaisnt my eyelids, By brittle fists that I cannot ignore. And though each fingers grip has been relentless, The moments just keep on slipping by.
G* CD And I am now aware that I havn't always had been at this moment G* C sat me there sitting by this fire and blue waiting for you and D and thought I've been expected I've never quite accepted that the AmEm^ fire, had suddenly gone out the hands will fall away. GD the pain appeal, the trees will say its oookaay, AmEm 'cause I'm scared that there's no answer GD 'cause I'm scared that there's no dreamers AmEmGDCAmG In this life of mine, there is only time, the illusion of which is gone.
G* C All my words are spread across the canvas, no one's seemed DG* to see the things I say, and though these eyes were once CD those of an artist, failure has relieved me of a face. G* CD And I am now aware that I am only the brushstrokes on the headstone G* C of a man that never lived, and this oh thise, is this, a life D that I have failed and I hoped to be forgiven. The AmEm^ fire, had suddenly gone out the hands will fall away. GD the pain appeal, the trees will say its oookaay, AmEm 'cause I'm scared that there's no answer GD 'cause I'm scared that there's no dreamers AmEmGDCAmG In this life of mine, there is only time, the illusion of which is gone.
G* right before you hit the C chord after you play this G, he does a little walk up like so:
e|-3-3--X-X--0-0--| Listen to the song, you'll figure it out. B|-3-3--1-1--1-1--| G|-0-0--2-2--0-0--| D|-0-0--2-2--2-2--| A|-2-2--0-0--3-3--| E|-3-3--X-X--X-X--|
Em^ during the chorus just means a little chord changes like so:
e|-0-0--0-0-0-0--| B|-0-0--1-0-0-0--| G|-0-0--0-0-2-0--|x2 Again just listen, and you'll catch it. D|-2-2--2-2-2-2--| A|-2-2--2-2-2-2--| E|-0-0--0-0-0-0--|
I know there's more to the song, but it gets blurry, and the chords become random and take over, so playing it isn't very fun if you are playing by yourself, but the rest of makes a great acoustic song to play around with and impress people with folk skills. tab the rest out later when I have more time. Enjoy though.
