[G] I’m not gonna say I don’t deserve it Like all those other [C] times I’m not gonna [D] claim to know what happened When I don’t even know how I got home that [G] night

CHORUS [D] Well it won’t be the last [C] time It won’t be the last [G] time It won’t be the last [D] time [C] [D] It won’t be the last [G] time
[D] Well, the first time I found [G] loving Lord I was young and I was [C] mean And I took just what I [D] wanted From that pretty little [G] thing
[D] And I never [G] told her that I loved her Though I could see the wanting [C] in her eyes The last time that I [D] saw her As we waved goodbye that [G] night
CHORUS
BRIDGE (walk down from G to Em) [Em] Now when I was [C] younger I was dumb and I was [G] free [Em] Now I’m getting [C] older I feel this [Am] world closing in on [D] me
So on a Sunday morning [G] sidewalk Just wishing Lord I could [C] sleep Got my hands down in my [D] pockets ‘Cause I’m shaking like a [G[ leaf
