Isobel Campbell es una de las más destacadas artistas de Glasgow (Escocia). Pertenecía a la agrupación Belle & Sebastian y posteriormente pero aún perteneciendo a la agrupación, lideró la agrupación Gentle Waves, que produjo dos discos: The green fields of foreverland (1999)y Swansong for you (2000), ambos con el sello Jeepster. Tras dejar Belle & Sebastian, en 2003 lanza el que sería probablemente su mejor trabajo, Amorino, más arriesgado y elaborado
