Rock de fusión originaria de los Estados Unidos, caracterizada por una amplia fusión de diversos estilos: ska, funk, punk rock, reggae y heavy metal.
La banda nació en 1979, fundada por su ya mítico líder y vocalista Angelo Moore, en los barrios de Los Angeles, California. El grupo nació en la misma zona de donde salieron artistas y bandas del calibre de Red Hot Chili Peppers y Jane's Addiction.
