Capo 1
Verse: Em9 Cadd9 G Em9 G Cadd9 DDsus2 D
Chorus: Am C Bb F
OR
Haven't played this in years and can't even find the mp3 (keep having to buy bigger and
hard drives) but this is the way I had it worked (rightly or wrongly)
You have to hop on the (D) briefly when moving between the [G] and the [C*] chords. If
playing it against the mp3 make sure your strings are tuned right in to the recording
(not against your guitar tuner) otherwise you might not convince yourself that the chords are right.
In E (i.e. no capo)
G [320033]
C* [032013]
D [X00232]
Dsus2 [X00230]
Bb maj7 [113231]
Fmaj7 [033210]
Am [002210]
Intro
[G (D) C* (D) G (D) C*]
[G C* D Dsus2 D]
We are [G]lost beneath (D)the [C*]waves
(D)And you [G]didn't wait (D)for [C*]me
You [G]left me here
[C*]Left me hanging [D]on[Dsus2][D]
When I [G]knew (D)you [C*]drowned
(D)Did you [G]think I'D wait (D)A[C*]round?
When [G]I woke up
[C*]You were already [D]gone[Dsus2][D]
[Am]You can waste your life feeling [C]lonely
Or [Bb maj7]you could waste your life feeling [Fmaj7]pain
When you [Am]carry the weight of one too many [C]yesterdays
[Bb maj7]You won't know to come in from the [Fmaj7]rain
Repeat intro chords
When you dug up your own grave
You'd no life left to save
You're always saying things can't go on
But I've been beneath the sea
And I couldn't hardly see
When I woke up you were already gone
I've wasted time feeling lonely
I've wasted half my life feeling pain
But at least I feel the weight upon my shoulders
At least I know to come in from the rain
You won't know to come in from the rain
Start to repeat intro chords..
..as usual end on the first chord of the song.
