Disappear Fear, an American folk/power pop band, formed in Baltimore in 1987. The original band consisted of sisters Sonia Rutstein and Cindy Frank. Their lyrics have always addressed social injustices and other progressive political causes. The band went on to sell over 500,000 cds at venues and rock and folk festivals and attracted the attention of Philo and Warner Chappell. Sonia, the songwriter in the group never changed an adjective and unlike many performers never hid her sexuality
