Blackbriar evocó por primera vez su visión del oscuro / metal gótico de ensueño en 2012 cuando Zora Cock, Rene Boxem y Bart Winters se unieron para formar la banda, que sentó las bases para el lanzamiento de su primer sencillo, "Ready to Kill".
