Bill Morrissey (November 25, 1951 – July 23, 2011) was an American folk singer-songwriter from New Hampshire. Many of his songs reflect the harsh realities of life in crumbling New England mill towns.
Hailing from New Hampshire in the northeastern United States, singer-songwriter Bill Morrissey wrote about everyday life on the fringes, both geographical--e.g., fading mill towns, railyards, prisons--and interpersonal--e.g., instant infatuation with an unknown woman at a bar.

Its Dangerous Out There By Bill Morrisey
AmDmAm There are Russians int the front yard, there's Martians on the ceiling DmEmAm There's a Cape buffalo on the patio and you ask me how I'm feeling DmAm There's a sniper by the swingset, the highway has been mined DmEmAm Then here you come with a great big smile singing, rise and shine
Chorus AmEmAm Well, there's nothing you could say that will get me up today DmEm Nothing you have ever said that can drive me from this bed AmDmEm You can call me lazy, crazy, call me stupid, I don't care AmDmEmAm I ain't gettin' up, cause its dangerous out there.
AmDmAm There's a hunter from New Jersey in my kitchen drinking beer DmEmAm There's a Texan out my window with a chainsaw and a lear DmAm I could take a walk around the block to shake me from this slumber DmEmAm But there's student drivers out today and one has got my number
AmDmAm There's a pounding on my front door its enough to make me scream DmEmAm Why, its two girl scouts, one Jehova's Witness and a whole SWAT team DmAm So listen to me, darling. Please heed these words I say DmEmAm Its too scary here in February dear, set my snooze alarm for May --
