Biografía:
Baroness es una banda procedente de Savannah, Georgia cuyos miembros crecieron en Lexington, Virginia. Combinan elementos del sludge metal, progressive metal y el hardcore punk.
Baroness se formó en el 2003, por antiguos miembros de la banda de punk/metal Johnny Welfare and the Paychecks. El vocalista John Dyer Baizley ha hecho las portadas para todos los albumes de Baroness, y ha trabajado con otras bandas y sellos discográficos como Darkest Hour
