Andrea True nació el 26 de julio de 1943 en Nashville (Estados Unidos) donde estudió en un colegio católico. Cuando se graduó con unos 14-15 años, se fue a Nueva York porque quería ser actriz. Pero las cosas no fueron como ella esperaba, después de actuar en algunas películas menores y en papeles cortos, descubrió que se necesitaba mucho más que ambición para triunfar.
