FCE Oh, you would do it so slow, like you’re walking on glass AmGF Oh, you always held back, I never thought 'bout the cause CE I just took and I took, I sought more than I should AmGF I regret that I can no longer do what is right CE How far you fall in your sleep is determined by me AmGF In the waking hours of our coexistence
FC Honey, forgive my ways EAmGF It will all fade away if you let it just stumble out the back of your mind CE Oh, it’s a fortunate day when I can feel for your face AmGF Pressed up like a child’s cheek on detention hall glass CE Oh, summer came and it went, I’m feeling wicked and dim AmGF And now it’s time to repent for my calamitous sins
FC This is a terrible curse E Oh, there ain’t nothing worse AmGF Than to be let down in soul-crushing, doleful fashion CE So I beg and I plead, please go easy on me AmGF I despise the way I doom things in the first scene
FCE I will not wait in the wings Am I am a cobra now FCE I will not wait in the wings Am I am a cobra now FCE I will not die in the grass Am I am a wild fire FCE I will not die in the grass Am I am a cobra now
Interlude FCEAm-G (x2)
FC Oh, we’re the fortunate ones E We are the fortunate ones AmGF We are the fortunate ones and we complain 'bout our lives C No one feels sorry for me E No one feels sorry for me Am No one feels sorry for me GF I am a cobra right now
FC You would do it so slow E Like you know that it’s wrong Am And we’re both walking on glass GF I feel I’ve lost it so soon C No one feels sorry for me E No one feels sorry for me Am No one feels sorry for me GF I am a cobra right now
FC You would do it so slow E Like you know that it’s wrong Am And we’re both walking on glass GF I feel I’ve lost it so soon
