[D] All along the shoreline there are [A] footprints by the sea They [Esus] head into the [E] distance then they [F#m] lead right back to me I [D] made the break to freedom now Im [A] following the dream Youre [Esus] never going to [E] get here if you [F#m] hold the old routine
Now [D] everything that we possess that [A] fills our empty lives Is [D] only good for [Bm] leaving far be [E] hind
We are [F#m] blown by the [A] wind, just like [D] clouds in the [A] sky We [D] dont know where were [Bm] going dont know [E] why We just [F#m] ride with the [A] wind and well [D] drive through the [A] rain We [Bm] dont know where well get to or if [D] well get back [E] again
[D] Call along the valley and you just [A] may find us there I [Esus] couldnt say for [E] sure because we [F#m] may be anywhere [D] Head into the sunset or just [A] wander out to sea [Esus] Wherever your heart [E] leads you is the [F#m] place your meant to be
And [D] someone who could be impressed [A] with ordinary lies Could [D] really use a [Bm] little peace of [E] mind
We are [F#m] blown by the [A] wind just like [D] clouds in the [A] sky We [D] dont know where well [Bm] go, but well get [E] by We just [F#m] ride with the [A] wind and well [D] drive through the [A] rain We [Bm] dont know where well get to or if [D] well get back [E] again
