Biografía:
Nació en West Palm Beach un 9 de enero de 1978. Sus padres (Denise y Robert McLean) se divorciaron cuando el tenía tan sólo 4 años. Alex se crió junto a su madre y a su familia materna. Desde muy pequeño demostró sus grandes dotes para la interpretación, actuando en varias obras del colegio. Su primer contacto con la interpretación lo tuvo a los 6 años, cuando le dieron su primer papel en una producción escolar de Blancanieves y los siete enanitos.
