John Hiatt, nacido en Indiana, es un compositor y guitarrista citado como una influencia por artistas tales como Bonnie Raitt, The Neville Brothers, Dr. Feelgood e Iggy Pop. Este hombre que comenzó su carrera en 1974 con el disco "Hangin' Around The Observatory", ha publicado una docena de álbumes, aunque su apasionada visión del rock y su penetrante e íntima alma country nunca le proporcionaron gran éxito.
