Nacido el 20 de agosto de 1923 en Texas, "Caballero" Jim Reeves es una de las grandes estrellas procedentes de Nashville. Aunque capaz de cantar country "duro", gustaba más por sus lanzamientos de country-pop, como "Four Walls" (1957) y "He'll Have to Go" (1959).
Hasta su muerte en accidente aéreo en 1964, se mantuvo en las listas de éxitos, debutando en 1953 con "Mexican Joe". Tras su muerte, sus discos se siguen vendiendo, con 6 singles números 1, lo que lo convierte en un "embajador" de la música country de todos los tiempos.
