Biografía:
En sus comienzos, Immortal se inició como una banda de death metal llamada Amputation. Para 1989, Demonaz, principal guitarrista, decide armar una nueva banda con la ayuda de Abbath, vocalista y bajista de Old Funeral. Después, con la incorporación de otro integrante, Armagedda, en la batería, lanzan su primer demo llamado "Unholy Forces of Evil" en el año 1991, y un año después, lanzan su primer larga duración titulado "Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism", un disco con un aire del death metal imperante en la época: brutalidad y velocidad.
