Hoobastank es una banda de Rock Alternativo de Los Ángeles (Estados Unidos), formada por Doug Robb (vocalista), Dan Estrin (guitarra), Markku Lappalainen (bajista) y Chris Hesse (batería). Robb y Estrin se conocieron en un concurso de grupos de música californiano, el Agoura Hill, en 1994. En ese concurso ambos representaban a su propio instituto y compitieron entre sí, pero finalmente se unieron para formar Hoobastank; poco después se les unirían Lappalainen y Hesse.
