Goo Goo Dolls es una banda estadounidense de rock alternativo.
Se formó en 1985 en Buffalo, Nueva York, por el Guitarrista/vocalista Johnny Rzeznik y el Bajista/Vocalista Robby Takac.
La banda no tuvo ganancias y fama hasta el año de 1995 cuando uno de los locutores de radio en Estados Unidos escucho Name, canción del álbum A boy named goo, en la cual el locutor señaló que la cancion "era excelente". Desde entonces comenzaron a sonar en todas las radios del país[cita requerida]

Johnny plays this song a hell of a lot different but this sounds kinda like it. It can
played on either acoustic or electric. I personaly prefer electric (Live In Buffalo July
2004) but you can play it on acoustic (Hold Me Up, which was the original version)if you want to.
The last time I wrote this, I totally butchered it! I forgot the 2nd verse, it was
unorganized, and it just totally sucked! I play it different now but this way sounds alright
Oh and I'm sure you'll be happy that I put the 2nd verse in this time :-p

it doesn't sound the same as the recording but if you tune it half step down it will be
