Gomez es una banda inglesa de Indie Rock, que fusiona el blues y rock, pero sus venas estan mas cerca de Beck que de Jimmy Page. Con su Primer album, Bring It On, ganaron el Premio Mercury de música en 1998.
La génesis de Gomez era la reunion de 4 amigos de Southport. El guitarrista y vocalista Ian Ball y el pecusionista Olly Peacock habían tocado juntos antes en una banda de metal local llamada Severed. Ellos se unieron al guitarrista, vocalista y tecladista Tom Gray y el bajista Paul Blackburn.
