Gillian Welch (2 de outubro de 1967) é uma cantora e compositora americana nascida em New York. Ela grava e se apresenta junto a seu parceiro musical e pessoal, o guitarrista David Rawlings. Seu estilo esparso e obscuro, que combina elementos musicais dos índios Apalaches, bluegrass e americana, é descrito pelo The New Yorker como “inovador e ao mesmo tempo uma reminiscência oblíqua do passado rural”.
Após graduar-se em fotografia pela Universidade de Santa Cruz e cursar pós-graduação em composição pelo Berklee College of Music
