Nacido el 10 de diciembre de 1972 en Downey, California, Donavon Frankenreiter reside actualmente en Laguna Beach, junto a todo aquello que ama: su mujer, su hijo, su guitarra y el maravilloso océano que lo rodea.
Desde muy joven su vida giró alrededor del mar, surfeando cada vez que podía. A los 13 años, Billabong se convirtó en el primer sponsor oficial de Frankenreiter
