Hi guys,
I checked out the other tab for this song and while that person was on the right track,
I found that there were quite a few problems with the tab! And it was quite hard for me
(I'm an intermediate player and self-taught). So I thought I would do my own take on it.
Might be completely wrong, but let me know what you think in the comment section! :)
The original song (the acoustic version at least) is done without a capo. But I find
that it's easier to use a capo because the chords are simpler. You won't be able to play
this with the original song, but this should be a bit easier than the capo-less version
for people that are beginners on guitar.
Again, this is just how I like to play it. It's not going to be exactly like the
original version. This is simpler.

Verse:
Bm F#m
I know exactly how you feel
D E F#m
It doesn't matter what you say
Bm F#m
I see the sun begin to set
D E F#m
And we gotta gotta get away
Bm F#m
I gotta patch of open road
D E F#m
I already miss you with all of my soul
Bm F#m
So before we both get old
D E F#m
I think we gotta gotta get away
(Here I just do straight picking without the last two notes; do what feels/sounds
right/is easiest for you. You can also do regular strumming here if you want.)
Bm F#m
I kept wishing, got the tickets
D F#m
Stuck them on the wall
Bm F#m
Let's rip them down and leave the town
D F#m
Before the cops can call
Bm
And bring us back,
D E F#m
Cover our tracks in the dust,
D E F#m
I think we must
Chorus: (normal strumming, listen to the video to help with the strumming pattern)
Bm F#m
Take on the world, let's go crazy
D E F#m
Love will tell us where to go
(repeat pattern)
I'll be your girl, be my baby
Love will tell us where to go
Bm F#m *stop*
Oh oh oh, through a dark night
D F#m *stop*
Oh oh oh, without a sunrise

Love will tell us where to go
Love will tell us where to go
D-E-F#m
(same as first verse)
The wheels on this train keep turning
We're flying with the birds and
The world's so bright it hurts when
We're on the getaway
I'm the Bonnie to your Clyde
You're the moon and I'm the tide
I want this for all of my life
Since the night that we got away
I kept wishing, bought the tickets
Stuck them on my wall
Let's rip them down and leave the town
Before the cops can call
And bring us back,
Cover our tracks in the dust,
I think we must
Chorus: (normal strumming)
Bm F#m
Take on the world, let's go crazy
