GDCFG If Cyrano de Bergerac GDCFG Fell prey to the blades of fifty men GDCFG With a heart and a sword he'd drive them back GDCFG Perchance to see Roxanne's eyes light up the sky again GDCFG And when beauty kind and full of grace GDCFG Again denied the beast her hand GDCFG The beast he turned and hid his face GDC And tried with all his might and magic to understand
Pre Chorus: FG And once upon a time GDC You know I used to wonder why FG You know no one should need to cry in pain DC Of a heart forbade to fly FG But you learn to say goodbye DC As you whisper beneath a sigh
Chorus: FCG Sweet Pain can't you plainly see? FCG Sweet pain you know it matters to me FCG Sweet pain won't you make me feel at home? FCD Sweet pain don't you dare leave me alone
