Podría apretárselos como banda de rock sureño, aunque en sus composiciones no falta el bluegrass o el country. Lo que es seguro es que desde su formación en el año 2000 y hasta el día de hoy se han convertido en uno de los combos más potentes del rock norteamericano con antecedentes en Lynyrd Skyniyrd, Allman Brothers o ZZ Top (aunque ellos también nombrarían a los Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin o The Faces).
Formados en Atlanta, Georgia, Blackberry Smoke ha dado un paso de gigante con cada nuevo lanzamiento discográfico
