Biografía:
A Hero A Fake é uma banda americana de metalcore, vinda de Charlotte, Carolina do Norte. Formada em 2004, eles assinaram com a Victory Records em julho de 2008, seu álbum de estreia Volatile foi lançado em outubro do mesmo ano. Originalmente a banda se chamava Nothing Gold Can Stay mudando para o atual durante a gravação de sua primeria demo. Seu som inicial foi fortemente influenciado por bandas como Thrice, Senses Fail, A Static Lullaby, e Underoath. Como tal, a música em sua primeira demo é considerada post-hardcore.
