Biografía:
The Strokes es una banda de rock formada en Nueva York, Estados Unidos por Julian Casablancas (vocalista y compositor), Nick Valensi (guitarra principal), Albert Hammond, Jr. (guitarra rítmica), Nikolai Fraiture (bajo) y Fabrizio Moretti (batería) en 1998. Alcanzaron la fama a principios del año 2000 como un grupo líder en la reactivación del garage rock.
Tras el lanzamiento de su aclamado álbum debut Is This It en 2001, muchos críticos nombraron al grupo como los "salvadores del rock"
