all relative to cape on 2nd.
I have used the already existing tab (thanks) and made corrections (in intro and
verses) and I transposed
the chords.
This is based on the studio recording and from what I saw Jeff doing live.
chords used in intro and first line in the verse are:
A x0222x
D/A x0423x
F#m/C# x4422
C/A x05x5x
D/A* x04x3x
D/A** x0023x (or a D chord: xx023X , it is subtle )
In the intro chords are used like this, this progression is also used in the verses. It is wise to learn this
progression first as it is the core of the song and because there are 3 different D/A chords so by learning
this progression you know when to play the right D/A chord.
e|-----------------------------|
B|-2--2h3--2--2--5--3--2--3--2-|
G|-2--2-x--2--2--x--x--2--2--2-|
D|-2--2h4--2--4--5--4--2--0--2-|
A|-0--0-0--0--4--0--0--0--0--0-|
E|-----------------------------|
Jeff plays this with the A chord barred with index finger. Now you van easily play the
D/A and F#m/C# chords
You can see the A string is sounded throughout almost the entire intro, except for
F#m/C# chord.
