The Seymores are a Richmond, VA quartet. They released their debut album "piedmont" in 1995. In 1998 they released the ep 1,000 lb. grr'lla" and the LP "treat her like a showcat" both produced by Cracker's David Lowery. Lowery became a fan of the band while seeing them in a club when he showed up to see someone else. The band toured opening up for Son Volt to support the album. After the tour the band broke up.
The band is most usually compared to Pavement and Sebadoh.
