The Replacements, que en un principio se llamaron Impediments, fue formado en 1978 por el cantante, compositor y guitarrista Paul Westerberg, el batería Chris Mars, el guitarrista Bob Stinson y su hermano de 12 años Tommy en el bajo. Después de varios cambios de nombre, The Replacements, conocidos cariñosamente como 'Mats por sus más cercanos fans, se ganaron la atención de la gente de su Minneapolis natal, al combinar el glamour y el espíritu de los New York Dolls con la rabia adictiva de los Sex Pistols.

I saw Paul Westerberg in Indianapolis the other night, and he closed with a great version of this song. The lyrics are as close to what he sang in concert as I could get (not exactly what is on the album), with some help from cs.uwp.edu (transcribed by The Skyway).
