Biografía:
The Handsome Family es un duo estadounidense de country-alternativo, la pareja la forma Brett y Rennie Sparks, algunos veces acompañados en las giras por un baterista. La banda se formó en Chicago a comienzos de los 90. Viven actualmente en Albuquerque, Nuevo Mexico.
La mayoria de sus canciones estan escritas en una estricta separación de roles: Brett Sparks escribe la musica mientras Rennie, quien también es escritora, escribe las letras. Estas poseen una extrecha conexión con el género literario conocido como "gótico americano"
