Biografía:
The Amps es un grupo de Rock Alternativo Lo-Fi de Ohio, liderado por Kim Deal, ex-Pixies y cabeza pensante de Breeders. Cuando su gemela Kelley -co-líder de Breeders- tuvo problemas con las drogas, Kim decidió seguir adelante con otro nombre. Para ello contó con Jim McPherson, batería de Breeders, Nate Farley de Guided by Voices y Luis Lerma. "Pacer", el único disco que dejó esta formación, es más ruidoso y primitivo que los de Breeders, aunque las melodías vocales siguen líneas similares.
