Spirit of the West was a Canadian folk-rock band from Vancouver, active from 1983 to 2016. The band was popular on the Canadian folk music scene in the 1980s before evolving a blend of hard rock, Britpop and Celtic folk influences which made them one of Canada's most successful alternative rock acts in the 1990s.
The band began in 1983 as a Vancouver-based folk trio called Evesdropper, consisting of John Mann, Geoffrey Kelly and J. Knutson. They soon changed their name to Spirit of the West

Save This House by Spirit of the West >From the "Save This House" Recording Written by Kelly/Mann Transcribed by John Siambani [email protected]
This is an up-tempo song that I have transferred to acoustic. The Asus4 and A alternating chords need a pedal to get the effect as on the record but if you play the note distinctly you can still get the overall Come see me play and I'll show how exactly how it is done. Otherwise I hope the tab is helpful.
For the verses just play each chord twice: EE E D D A A ffr each line.
I'm not worried it's a million miles away Yeah I saw the news it happens every day Some Cronkite look-alike numb from what he's reading Wake me up wake me up it's one of us that's screaming
Chorus: EADA Save this h-o-u-s-e
Save this house the party's gotta end The welcome mat's worn out & the roof'll never mend The furniture's on fire this house is a disgrace Someone change the locks before we trash this place
That's pretty well it.
