Shania Twain nació en Canadá el 28 de Agosto de 1965.
Perdió a sus padres durante la adolescencia y fue entonces cuando comenzó a dedicarse a la música.
En 1991, lanza su primer CD con temas impuestos por su productora, y mas tarde, de la mano del productor Robert "Mutt" Lange, lanzo su primer álbum escrito por ella, llamado The Woman in me. Se enamoró de Mutt, y se casaron. Durante esa etapa Shania cosechó grandes éxitos, consiguiendo durante los años 97-98 un triple disco de platino al haber vendido más de 30 millones de CDs
