Biografía:
Precursores del Disco Flamenco, Santa Esmeralda irrumpe en los escenarios del mundo en 1977 con sus éxitos "The House of the rising sun" y "Quasimodo Suite". Liderados por Leroy Gomez, quien cantaba y además ejecutaba el saxo, Santa Esmeralda fue convocado en 1978 para formar parte de la banda de sonido de la película "Thanks God It´s Friday", con su canción "Sevilla Nights". Su tema más recordado es sin duda "Don´t let me be misunderstood", original de Nina Simone y más conocida por The Animals, con Eric Burdon a la cabeza.
