Peter Murphy además de tener en su historia el ser la voz de Bauhaus es un artista muy completo cuya imagen fue uno de los iconos fundacionales del gothic y el dark, su aspecto de vampiro hiperactivo y su estética más un tono de voz profundo y variado le valieron un lugar de respeto tanto en su carrera grupal como en sus trabajos solistas.
